About
Pocket Lap started as a group chat between three friends who kept arguing about which racing game had the best steering. Instead of losing those arguments, we decided to write them down. The site is small and independent, and nobody hands us a script.
We pick games we would actually download ourselves. Sometimes that means a big-name racer, sometimes a tiny arcade thing made by two people. What matters is how it plays on a real phone, on a real commute, with real interruptions.
Every review here comes from someone who finished at least a few hours in the game. We note the controls, the pacing, and whether the free version is playable without turning into a chore. If something annoys us, we say so.
We update the catalog when we find something good, not on a fixed schedule. Quality over quantity, because your storage is limited and so is your patience.
